LA GENTE SF was born in the eclectic city of San Francisco and is currently based in Madrid, Spain. The group is led by Rafa Sarria Bustamante: singer-songwriter and voting member of the Recording Academy/Grammy's. LA GENTE SF has created their own unique blend of World Music, Cumbia, Reggae, Salsa, and Reggaeton. Their music and live shows fuse together rhythms, dances and cultural influences from all over Latino America and the Caribbean with a distinct San Francisco flavor, to create an infectious, high energy dance party.LA GENTE SF have just released “Llama Cumbia” , their second single and music video from their 5th studio album "Entre 2 Mundos." The album and series of music videos were recorded and filmed in San Francisco, Colombia, Spain, Mexico and Morocco and was produced by Rafa Sarria Bustamante, Maya Finlay & Jordan Feinstein. The Band is currently on their 2024 World Tour with dates in the US, Spain, Mexico & more.
After years of touring and releasing original music, LA GENTE SF has built a large and loyal following all over the US and around the globe performing at numerous festivals, universities, radio stations, museums, art galleries and major venues, including: Los Angeles, New Orleans, Austin, Portland and New York as well as Spain,Italy, France, Mexico, Great Britain, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua, and Colombia. Their notoriety and showmanship has found them sharing the stage with other recognized recording artists such as George Clinton and The P-Funk All Stars, E-40, La Santa Cecilia, Quantic, The Digital Underground, Oscar De Leon, Hyro-Glyphics, Digable Planets, Pato Banton, Lyrics Born, Pete Escovedo, MALO and many more.

Lady Ryan is a Bay Area favorite – inspiring a sense of safety, joy, and belonging as a spiritual conductor and dedicated professional. Her passion for music can be heard throughout the Bay Area and beyond, whether she’s energizing the crowd at Warriors games, hosting one of her celebrated Soulovely or Sweetspot parties, or gracing the airwaves of 91.7 KALW in San Francisco.In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the Bay Area music scene, Lady Ryan was voted the best DJ in the Bay Area in 2023 by the Bay Area Reporter Magazine. Additionally, she was awarded the 2016 Best of the Bay by the East Bay Express, solidifying her status as a trailblazer in the industry. Also in 2023, Lady Ryan was honored by the City of Oakland for her leadership in the LGBTQ music and arts community. This honor was bestowed within the affirmation of the City of Oakland’s commitment to the liberation of queer and trans people and the intersectional approach to liberation, principles of equality, and inclusion for all.
Lady Ryan has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Diana Ross, George Clinton, Erykah Badu, Journey, Indigo Girls, and Anderson Paak. With a deep range and knowledge of multiple music genres, coupled with the right touch of nostalgia, her ability to conduct high vibrations makes Lady Ryan a sure shot for any dance floor.
